We are Ironworks Robotics, a FIRST Robotics team based in Richmond Hill, Ontario from Alexander Mackenzie High School, a diverse and welcoming community filled with students from all walks of life with diverse interests and skills. Our team is made of students from all grades, including students from the International Baccalaureate and Arts Program.
FIRST Robotics is a not-for-profit international high school level robotics competition. Founded in 1989, FIRST is a competition where high school teams design, build, and put to the test new robots each year to compete in regional and international level events. Competition season runs from the start of January into the Spring each year.
Ironworks Robotics gives students a chance to develop real world technical skills in an engaging, hands-on way.
Our mission is to inspire students to develop a passion for learning and a passion for STEM disciplines. Our ultimate goal is to build a successful team and community here in our school while in the process, learning and developing skills from technical aptitude to leadership, cooperation, and responsibility.

THE STEAM PROJECT
The STEAM Project is an educational organization based in Richmond Hill.
Since 2016, they have been teaching STEAM education to youth from JK to the post-secondary level.
Their vision is to inspire the next generation of designers, inventors, and scientists by giving them access to emerging technologies, encouraging experimentation, and practising design thinking.
